Welcome to New Umuaka Project Initiative, NUP-I, website. We hope you will find all the information you are looking for and will join us in making Umuaka better.

The New Umuaka Project Initiative is a voluntary community-based initiative that welcome members and individuals who are ever ready to contribute their 3Ts’ of Time, Treasure and Talent for the benefit of our community. The beauty of this association is in the universality and reach of her membership and the flexibility on how we approach our objectives, especially the use of technology, to reduce project costs.

Established in 2017, New Umuaka Project Initiative, NUP-I has been recognised and is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. We have continued to consolidate on our past gains and have acquired vast parcel of land that would house our operational headquarters and other developmental projects. This exciting development will propel us more giant strides.

In view of the emergence of different formal and informal groupings of people pursuing different activities for the benefit of our people, we have elected to significantly reduce our scope of activities and streamline our area of community interventions in Umuaka.

The security challenges at home have been of great concern to many of us. We cannot make great progress individually or collectively, if we continue to operate under an atmosphere of insecurity. NUP-I is working with other relevant institutions and organisations, in Umuaka, to stem this ugly tide. I will continue to appeal for materials, financial support and relevant information to help us in this challenging area.

Our overall system of finance administration has been reformed and will remain very robust. Members and donors should be assured of our commitment to fiscal responsibility and judicious use of their donated funds. We will continue to run this great association strictly according to the provisions of our constitutions. Our need to attract more members that are willing to give their 3Ts without any strings attached cannot be over-emphasized.

Our people, particularly the indigents, women and the youths are feeling the impact of our activities by our various high-impact and targeted projects. We successfully educated our people during the COVID-19 pandemic and distributed relief materials to many indigent members of our community. We receive accolades for this wonderful and highly effective initiative.

Our various sporting activities for the youths and cultural events for our people have been commended. NUP-I successfully initiated and organised Oghu and Abu Oghu events that brought the whole components of our Umuaka community together for the first time in recent memory.

I will continue to appeal to our members and donors to support us financially to enable us to execute meaningful projects that will help our community.
